I am Cristian Paraschiv, an independent software engineer based in Romania and trading as Paraschiv Cristian Vasile PFA. I work with founders, product teams and established businesses to turn ideas into software that runs in production and keeps running.
How I work
My work sits across three layers that most projects need at once: a web platform, a mobile application, and the backend that serves both. Having built all three for years, I can make decisions in one layer knowing exactly what they cost in the others — which is where a lot of time and budget is usually lost.
I deliberately keep the practice small. One engineer means there is no translation loss between the person who understood the requirement and the person who implemented it, no coordination overhead billed back to you, and a single point of accountability when something needs to be fixed at nine on a Friday evening.
It also means I turn work down. If a project needs a team of eight, or sits in a domain where I would be learning on your budget, I will say so and point you elsewhere. The projects I take on are the ones I can genuinely be responsible for.

Clarity before code
Nothing gets built from a vague brief. Scope, assumptions and exclusions are written down and agreed before the estimate means anything.
Honest estimates
Estimates include the parts people forget: testing, deployment, store review, edge cases and the revision round you will want after seeing it.
Code someone else can read
Conventional structure, meaningful tests and documentation, written on the assumption that another engineer will take it over one day.
Data handled properly
GDPR-aware by default: minimal collection, sensible retention, encrypted transport, and infrastructure hosted in the EU when your data calls for it.
